Peanut Butter Baking Soda Rat Poison

Killing Rats With Baking Soda

Does Baking Soda Kill Rats?

I did some research and found out that peanut butter baking soda rat poison is an option to kill rats.

Baking soda combines with the stomach acids to produce carbon dioxide gas which rats are unable to tolerate. In turn, it builds up within their system and eventually causes internal blockage and rupture.

Rats are bad on our tiny urban farm.  They ate all of the fruit from my fruit trees and destroyed my garden.

I have tried killing rats with poison and traps.  I was able to kill a few but not enough to make a difference.
